Tourists and vacationers can also swim with and touch gigantic and gentle whale sharks that are twice as big as a family van.
La Paz’s eco-tourism however, is not just limited to its marine and coastal natural wonders. On the other side of La Paz, desert patches covered in thorny bushes, towering cactus, and colorful desert blooms attract many campers and nature lovers. If the Sea of Cortez can boast of many underwater creatures, the deserts of La Paz hold more than 4,000 different plants as well as several pumas, coyotes, wolves, squirrels, hawks and snakes. Mountains can also be found located amidst these golden yellow dunes where tourists love to hike, bike and camp.
